LEADING NORTH AFRICAN AIR AMBULANCE PROVIDER

Morocco-based AOM Air Ambulance has joined the International Assistance Group (IAG) as an Accredited Service Provider. Combining excellent local coverage with medium and long-haul reach to the rest of Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, the IAG family has a valuable regional addition to its global network of air ambulance providers.

The first dedicated air ambulance company in Morocco, AOM is fully ICU equipped with an emergency and critical medical team on permanent 24/7 standby. The range of aircraft types spans from a helicopter up to the Hawker 800 with a current equipment inventory that includes air portable incubator, ventilators and an isolation unit for contagious diseases including COVD-19.

AOM is an essential lifeline locally, regionally and internationally.

“We are extremely delighted to have been appointed as an Accredited Service Provider for such a highly regarded global partnership of medical assistance organisations,” stated AOM’s Chief Executive Officer Mr Mohammed El Masaoudi. He added:” We very much look forward to making a critical operational contribution by engaging with such a wealth of expertise.”

AOM Air Ambulance is part of the Air Ocean Maroc Aviation Group, founded in 2014 and headquartered in Rabat. The strategic business units of Air Ambulance, Air Charter, Aircraft Maintenance and Helicopter Services blend together to form a comprehensive approach within the field of aviation.

An associate organisation of the respected Gulf Helicopters Company, AOM serves the oil and gas industry with prompt response to immediate needs, linked to specialised air ambulance transfers to international centres of medical care working with trauma, cardiac conditions and diseases. A special unit of doctors and nurses are trained to deal with contagious diseases in a negative pressure environment.

AOM’s model is well-suited and used by a diverse tourist community in search of ethic culture, peace and tranquillity or adventure in remoter parts. Locally, AOM is a lifeline for neonatal and paediatric intensive care cases, including septic shock, cardiogenic shock and respiratory diseases.

In addition to the main base in Rabat, another is located in Casablanca. From those positions, a fleet can be deployed consisting of a helicopter, King Air 200, Cessna Citations and a Hawker 800.
